Stainless Steel Flexible Hose Kit

Replacement flexible 5-hose kit for the 1967-1971 DeTomaso Mangusta, in braided stainless.

Our flex hoses are professionally manufactured in the USA to our specifications using DOT approved materials. We provide high pressure rubber internal hoses covered with a braided stainless exterior. The stainless is not just cosmetic in nature, but also serves as exterior support to fight against hose expansion as fluid pressure increases. Each hose has a final clear outer covering with the DOT approval numbers. The fittings on each end have the correct configuration for a “bolt-in” replacement.

Contrary to popular belief, factory flexible hoses are not designed to last 43 years! According to one hose manufacturer, original equipment flexible brake hoses are designed to last 6 years on average, and should be changed in order to eliminate potential failure. Consider this cheap insurance !

We are currently offering new reproduction cast aluminum valve cover emblems, as found exclusively on the 1967-1971 deTomaso Mangusta. These emblems fit without modification to your original “Power By Ford” valve covers. Each emblem has been professionally cast, coated and detailed with the intent to duplicate the look of the original piece, including casting marks and small imperfections. We use “under-hood” automotive grade materials for a lifetime of use. We have produced a small run and can accommodate your needs for one, two or more. Aluminum Radiator

We are currently building new, all aluminum replacement radiators for the 1967-1971 deTomaso Mangusta. These units fit without modification to your original dual fan assembly, and are professionally manufactured in the USA using an all new high quality core that incorporates two rows of 1.0” cross-flow tubes for maximum water flow. The side tanks are designed with top brackets, inlets and outlets all in keeping with the original design for compatibility. We have added additional features such as a top petcock air bleed, a bottom petcock drain, a 3/8” NPT tap for a temperature sensor, and two 3/8-16 tapped bosses to accommodate custom mounting of a variety of aftermarket electric fans. We realize the Mangusta does not need weight reduction in the front of the car, but compare the difference in physical weight: Weight of original radiator: 39 lbs. Weight of this new radiator: 14 lbs. ! Please note: These radiators are considered to be an excellent replacement or backup unit for your original heavy brass radiator. Although this unit will fit in place of your original without modifications to your original dual fan assembly, please realize you may have to make minor bracket adjustments depending on how your car was built. Also, the bottom bracket holes have not been drilled to allow for proper fitment in your unique handbuilt Mangusta. Built to order, shipped double boxed. $550.00 Each
