Mangusta Wheel Finishing-Feb. 2 2007

By: Dick Ruzzin

Argent Silver is a generic term for silver in the trade. A great neutral
silver, neither reddish or bluish, is a color called Thunderbird Silver that for
years has been the brightest most metallic looking silver. There are other
products now in the market that use glass beads, pearl, etc.

You can also buy at the paint shop paint additive that is anti-chip, to
protect the wheels from stone chips.

I would strip the wheels of all paint, spend a little time tuning up the
surfaces and then coat the tire side of the rims with some kind of leak prevention
material. I bought some in a spray can. It will fill all the pores and
prevent leaks.

Then if you set the valves in with a good silicone seal you will never have
to add air to your tires.

Also, have your tires mounted at a shop that has the new tire mounting
equipment that does not touch the rim and your new paint.
